“Peculiar eye” is an abstract art specifically a surrealism artwork. The title, “Peculiar eye,” comes from the appearance of the artwork which looks somewhat weird because of the eye in the middle of the rose. The artwork is mainly made out of clay, but wires were also used for extra support. This piece aims to express the beauty that the eyes can see. The artwork is also inspired by a scene in the movie “Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe,” which shows that the nature can see and hear everything around. The artwork is basically a practice piece since clay sculpting is something new for the artist.

The artist aims to experiment with different technique using clay as his main medium. The artist struggles a bit since the clay that he was using was a bit dry. But when the artist got the hang of using the clay, it became easier for him to form shapes. The process of making the artwork really helped the artist improve his skills with sculpting.

Even though the artwork is a practice piece for the artist, this piece still means something. The artist wants the audience to know that the artwork is calling out for action to provide a concrete plan that focuses on saving the Earth. The artist encourages the audience to help saving the nature even with their own little ways.

The artwork aims to open the eyes of the people and let them see that the nature is slowly deteriorating. The piece aims to call for worldwide action to fight the continuous destruction of the Earth. The artwork can be a symbol for action in fighting the destruction of everyone’s home. Humans cannot replace Earth, that is why everyone must stop acting blind and start opening their eyes to be able to help everyone’s home. The eyes are a gift that provides human the opportunity to see beauty of nature, that is why everyone must work together to preserve that beauty for the future generations.
